Let's GOv project and the NetZeroCities

The Let's GOv project – GOverning the Transition through Pilot Actions - has been selected to participate in the NetZeroCities
Pilot Cities trial, a two-year EU-funded programme under the European Union Cities Mission. Together with Bergamo, Florence, Milan, Padua, Parma, Prato, Rome and Turin, the lead partner Bologna will implement innovative actions to accelerate climate action
 and rapidly "decarbonize".
The Pilot Cities will implement innovative systemic and locally designed actions that span multiple areas, from buildings to waste,
and levers of change, including governance, waste management and water management.
Over the course of the two-year programme, cities will reflect and learn providing an opportunity for other cities to follow
in their footsteps, replicating and/or scaling approaches and solutions relevant to their context.
The Pilot Cities programme is crucial to achieving the goals of the European Union Cities Mission, which aims to make 112 cities climate neutral by 2030.
The activities of Pilot Cities will be supported by €32 million in grants from the NetZero Cities project, which manages the Mission
Platform.
These grants are funded by Horizon 2020, the EU's framework programme for research and innovation that precedes the current
Horizon Europe programme.
Let's GOv was selected from 103 applications involving 159 cities from 33 countries of the European Union and countries associated with Horizon 2020.
