The first phase of the Prato Carbon Neutral co-design path took place between 21.10.2022 and 05.12.2022 and It was characterized
by 8 meetings held between Prisma, the Town Hall and Officina Giovani.
15 categories of stakeholders took part in co-design path on the topics of energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, circular economy, urban forestry, agriculture and land use.
The first group of stakeholders was made up of the Municipality's subsidiaries (5), trade associations (6), research institutes, large-scale distribution (1), companies (20), agricultural bodies and associations linked to the short supply chain (6), farms (4), professionals (6), environmental associations (2), bodies related to mobility (3) and public administration (territorial government, roads service, urban planning government, agriculture and environment); the second group from trade associations (6), companies and start-ups (6), sports clubs (2), traders (5), public administration; the third group from third sector entities (8) and the fourth from the Municipal Council of boys and girls.
The second phase of the co-design path, on the other hand, was divided into four workshops between 10/01/2023 and
19/01/2023, organized through the involvement of a selection of representative actors of the territory (40) and supported by experts
in the various thematic areas of the University of Florence, with the aim of co-creating impact paths, through the definition
of concrete and radical actions, expected medium and long-term results and direct and indirect co-benefits.
Also on the basis of the inputs of the co-design path, the Action Plan for Climate Neutrality of the Municipality of Prato will be drawn
up in February 2024, which will be followed in March 2024 by the signing of the contract with the European Commission for the
achievement of the objectives contained in the document.
